"Teach Early Childhood ~ Touch the Future"

Preparing children to meet the challenges of tomorrow requires the entire community. Parents, families, early childhood and school-age teachers and others work together to provide learning opportunities for children.

Raising the bar is especially important for child care programs. For at-risk children, receiving care from a quality child care program significantly increases their chances of entering school with the skills they need to succeed. Supporting the community to help children develop and grow is at the heart of Educare services.

Through our relocation to the Center for Family Policy and Research on the Campus of the University of Missouri, Columbia, we are able to direct more resources and opportunities toward serving at-risk children and families.

In October of 2009, Educare Boone County partnered with the Golden K Kiwanis Club of Columbia to store and distribute 1900 books to early childhood programs in Boone County. This is a partnership that Educare has enjoyed for several years. We are grateful for the Golden K Kiwanis Club and their committment to Early Childhood programs in Columbia. Below are several pictures of the Club delivering, sorting and labeling the books. Many thanks to Milt Bailey who has been in charge of this project for many years and to Liz Bailey for taking the pictures.
