Once a month, usually the last Monday of each month, Educare hosts an Early Childhood Family Childcare Provider Meeting called "Get Together At The Rock" at 1400 Rock Quarry Road, Ste. Q114, Columbia MO.

All family childcare professionals are invited to attend. The meetings are held from 7-9 p.m. and food is served. This is an opportunity for you to network with other early childhood professionals in a relaxed setting. Conversation, fun and food are the key components of these get togethers.

Two training hours are offered for those attending the meeting. Topics, such as summer safety, block play, creativity and young children are offered by Educare staff. The highlight of the evening is the prize giveaways. Prizes have ranged from phone calling cards, to baskets with plants, books and games, regional store gift cards, and a playhouse.

Starting at 6:30 before each meeting particpants are invited to browse through Reusables and Subsidy Orientation will also be offered for that same time period (by appointment only.)

Reusables is Educare's in house recycling program, to select and take home paper, vinyl scraps, used books, buckets, coffee cans, used notebooks, carpet square samples and many varieties of items available at that time.
